I'm Belinda McBride, I write erotic romance for Changeling Press, New Concepts Publishing, and we're waiting to see on a third publisher who's been playing around with my manuscript for seven months now and its really pissing me off since they haven't......uh...sorry. I get a little impatient now and then...*G*

Anyhow, I write sci fi, fantasy, paranormal and what have you. I've even tried my hand at a Western and I'm loving it! At this moment, my new release is Imperative: Always You at Changeling Press. In 2009 I'll be debuting a series of paranormal novellas called "Normalville, USA." Its about life in a small town where everyone has their secrets.

I've been writing most of my life, in poetry, playwriting and technical writing. My degree is in History with a minor in Cultural Anthropology. I started writing erotic romance about two years ago, and sent in my first submissions about one year ago.

Hello, everyone; I'm Heather S. Ingemar, and I'm a little strange.

Ha!

I write gothic short stories for both teens and adults (which garners a lot of strange looks, one for the "gothic" part, and one for the fact that "nobody writes short stories anymore!"). I'm not going to pigeon-hole my genre any further, however; I tend to write as much each as any one in particular! (Often my work combines genres; horror + romance... suspense + dark fantasy... mystery + dark adventures.... yeah.)

My website/blog is: http://catharsys.wordpress.com/
And I have a Myspace page: http://myspace.com/heatheringemar
I'm also on Goodreads (forgive me, I forget the url!)

I currently have four stories out with Echelon Press (three in ebook and one in a fire-themed anthology in ebook & print), and I have a bunch more in online ezines, and still more in the queue to be published with Drollerie Press (all ebook, some collection, some anthology, and some stand-alones).

I particularly love answering questions about my work, so don't hesitate to contact me. :)

I am very excited because I have fifteen works either already published or soon to be published. When I first started writing, I never dreamed in a million years I'd be so lucky.

I have a very interactive website with character biographies and pictures, www.stephanihecht.com. Make sure to check it out often as it updated every couple of weeks. I love hearing from fans, so feel free to drop me an email at archangelwriter@yahoo.com.

Hi! My name is Jen Turner and I'm a dark paranormal romance author. My debut novel, Eternal Seduction, released on Halloween and is available in print and e-book. :)

My website is: www.darknesswithinnovels.com
My Blog is: www.jen-turner.blogspot.com
My MySpace is: www.myspace.com/drkness_within
My Ning page is: www.darknesswithnnovels.ning.com

Here's the cover for Eternal Seduction:

Here's the back cover blurb:

After living on the streets of New York City for over a decade, Logan Ellis admits her perceptions might be a little skewed. But twisted or not, there’s a satisfying irony in watching a well dressed vampire stand in the middle of a ghetto alley, windblown trash scraping small circles near his feet. What she finds even more intriguing, is waiting for him to decide whether or not he’s going to kill her.

Kerestyan Nelek hasn’t quite made up his mind. As the Lord of New York, he can’t allow a homeless drug addict, whose memories are packed with knowledge of vampiric existence, to run free in his city. It’s not the first time he’s been in this situation with a human, it’s just the first time in thousands of years he’s come face to face with one who doesn’t seem to care. And that’s what makes the decision so damn difficult.

What horrors would you have to witness before you went numb? How many years would it take for you to feel that way? What would it take to make you care again?

Logan’s answers are simple: the worst humanity has to offer, almost thirty…and something she never expected.

Eternal Seduction is the first book in the Darkness Within Series, but don't worry - each book stands alone. :) If you're interested, you can check out my website for all the different purchase options available for Eternal Seduction.

Now for some deep, probing details - I'm 30, married, and have a nine year old daughter I regularly call the "Heathen". I've been writing since 2004, but took a 2 year break from late 2005 - late 2007. I've never seen the ocean, the only major city I've been to is Chicago, and I believe whole-heartedly in ghosts. My favorite authors are Stephen King, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lee Child, Lynsay Sands and Karen Marie Moning.

If there's anything else you want to know about me, feel free to ask. I'm just really not good at the whole shameless self promotion aspect of being a published author yet. :)

Have a good one!

Hi all! I'm sneaking in late, but I brough cookies. Mmmm...chocolate chip.

My name is Angie Fox and I'm the author of The Accidental Demon Slayer, which hit the NY Times bestseller list this summer. Woo hoo!

Bitten By Books did an awesome review that made me kind of jealous because I wished I came up with some of those lines myself.
http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=681

When I'm not spending time wishing I could write blurbs like Rachel, I write about a reluctant demon slayer and all the trouble she finds when she teams up with her grandmother's gang of geriatric biker witches. The second book is coming out this spring. It's called The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers and let's just say if you were surprised by the first one... (yeah, yeah, I'm a tease)

Anyhow, my home on the web is www.angiefox.com Stop by if you can, and keep an eye out because hopefully I'm going to be able to start giving away Advanced Reading Copies of the spring book, The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers.

Thanks for reading, and Rachel - thanks for the Bloggy Carnival. As always, this is one of the coolest places to be on the net.

A little about me… I’m a wife, a daughter, a housekeeper, an accountant, a personal shopper, a cook, and in my spare time an Erotic Romance Author. Heck, I’m a woman who wears many hats as most women do. I’m a lover of books… books of all types. I’d like to say I’ve been writing since I could hold a pencil, but that wouldn’t be true. I didn’t start seriously writing until my DH encouraged me to when my weekly spending habit on books became obscene. He thought—wise man that he is—writing might not only rescue his wallet but keep me occupied and out of trouble. He was right.

In the winter of 2002, I sat down and began my first book, The Protector’s Destiny. I finished it Spring of 2005 and it was first contracted with a now defunct publisher in the summer of 2006, though it wasn’t the first book published. That honor belongs to Taliff’s Cure which I wrote in its entirety in the fall of 2006. eXtasy Books published this, my very first published work, in February of 2007.

Since that first project, The Protector’s Destiny, I haven’t slowed down. In fact, I currently have over two dozen stories now available with nearly a dozen more under contract with two different publishers, eXtasy Books and Cobblestone Press. I don’t see myself ever quitting this career, though I admit, my husband will probably tell you I still spend entirely too much time and money reading my favorite authors.

I’m also at MySpace and have my own Yahoo Group, so stop on by and visit!
PS: I’d love to hear from you. You can contact me via my Contact page at my website.

Hello, Bruised and Bloodied Ones!
I'm brand new to Bitten By Books and it looks great.

Just a quick introduction right now. I'm a speculative ficton writer based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

I like many different kinds of writing, fiction and nonfiction, as my just-begun library list on LibraryThing will tell you. Reading my stories will tell you this, too. I am drawn to ordinary aliens, ordinary people, ordinary bacteria just living our lives. Somehow, though, there is exquisite detail and poignancy in our very ordinariness, and this is what moves and excites me the most.

I'll add here the copy from the backside of my new (first!) book, Finding Creatures & Other Stories (Introduction by Charles de Lint). That will give you some sense of what I'm talking about. I'm happy to answer any questions and if you read my stuff and think you know a writer I would like, I am happy to hear about her or him!

From the cover:

Literary, science fictional, slipstream, and fantastic—this medley of stories is grounded in the present day, weaving backward to the life of Saint Francis, and forward to a time when Earth is a memory, and new humans are finding their place among the stars.

Wolf’s characters grapple with personal integrity and connection with others, with the imperatives to abandon fear and hate and to question cherished beliefs. A Haitian street kid with a mercurial coin, a skid-row waitress with a passion for palaeontology, and aliens inadvertently trapped in sculptures by Henry Moore, journey side by side with a northern Native man searching for a place to bury a dead spaceman, and two teenagers who build an old-style science-fiction machine with a very modern purpose.

Wolf’s unexpected approach to story telling interlaces humour, compassion, and a compelling affection for human and nonhuman with a fine-spun unorthodoxy in these understated tales of this world and beyond.

From the introduction by Charles de Lint:

“Wolf uses different genres, different voices, different cultures—in short whatever she needs to make the story work. What ties it all together is her sure-handed prose and a depth she brings to her writing, that indefinable element that rises up from between the lines and gives a good story its resonance…"

And since we are being invited to toot our own horns here, I will add two more titillating things. (Well, they titillate me!) One is the list of praises from authors who read the book before it was published, and the other is from readers. Naw, I got embarrassed. I'll put in the author comments, and if you want to read the rest, you can find them at this url:

Readers' Reactions.

More Praise for Finding Creatures & Other Stories:

“Wolf's people come alive on the page. She makes them to ache and to dream, to search and sometimes find. They slip through the unseen hinges of life, to emerge into other times, other realms and realities, other skins. And she makes all this happen in a way that draws the reader to follow them.

“This is rich, ripe stuff, with a haunting echo of Ray Bradbury's October moods.”
Matthew Hughes, author of The Tales of Henghis Hapthorn.

“Wolf’s subtly written stories succeed in being both shadowy and powerful.”

—Phyllis Gotlieb, author of Flesh and Gold.

“Prepare to be absolutely charmed. C. June Wolf’s stories are like world music: varied, full of surprising grace notes, and born from an array of the planet’s cultures and myths. We’ll be reading her stories for years to come.”

—Daryl Gregory, author of Pandemonium.

“The Coin”

“Enthralling. Fairy-tale quality.”

—Tracey Thomas, Quill and Quire Sept 2005

“Equals”

“Science made lyrical and passionate.”

—Eileen Kernaghan, author of Wild Talent: A Novel of the Supernatural

“C. June Wolf opens her collection with a quote from Ursula K. Le Guin, and I quickly came to see how appropriate a choice that was: Wolf’s compassion, humour, social conscience, and love of diversity are all reminiscent of Le Guin. Wolf’s voice, however, is entirely her own, friendly (I might even say companionable) and direct, and with a poetry of image and language that enhances without ever obscuring the clear telling of the story. It is a pleasure to recommend this collection.”

—Holly Phillips, author of The Engine’s Child.

Hi!

I have a split personality in that I write under two names! I write as both Felicity Heaton and F E Heaton.

F E Heaton is mainly for my Vampires Realm series, while Felicity Heaton writes all manner of genres, with an obvious swing towards the paranormal too.

I'm never any good at this talking about myself lark, so I'll keep it brief. I love writing very dark vampire/paranormal romances that have plenty of plot, but I'll also write lighter stories too. You need a bit of balance in life after all. I write ebooks right now but I'm slowly building up to submitting to agents and hopefully getting a print deal.

I have a new story coming out this weekend. Seventh Circle is part of my Vampires Realm series and you can read more about it at the series website - http://www.vampiresrealm.com

You can read more about my books at my websites:
http://www.felicityheaton.co.uk // http://www.vampiresrealm.com

You can read more about my writing in general and what I get up to at my blogs:
http://felicityheaton.blogspot.com // http://vampiresrealm.blogspot.com

Or at my MySpace:

happy reading!
