The Blood Bank

We'd like to make a withdrawal

Greetings, all. This will now be the official discussion thread for Skinwalker.

My previous questions:

What do you think of Skinwalker? Do you like Jane as a protagonist/main character?

How do you like the setting?

I love Jane Yellow Rock as the protagonist in Skinwalker.

She's got the perfect amount of brawn and an excellent head on her shoulder. She's sexy without being a complete slut. There was a good amount of tension in the sexuality that she exudes, but never any intercourse. Which is actually very fine with me. She got down to the business of kicking ass and did it with flair and panache.

The only thing I was a bit confused on was the whole concept of her beast and the snake aspect. I am still not sure what that was all about.

The foreshadowing for future novels was well done and expertly placed. I cannot wait for book two that is due out in January 2010.
I just finished reading Skinwalker this afternoon. I really appreciated the attention to details the author incorporated into the story. This had little to do with description of places and people but with little things like taking on mass, on getting rid of heat built up from exertion, and language use.

Did I like Jane as a protagonist? Very much so. I hope though, she, and in turn we, learn more about her in following books. I would hate to think she could sift down to become nothing more than a episodic heroine who is satisfied with who she is. I also liked Bruiser and Leo. Rick Lefleur, not so much. I thought the twins were a delightful addition to the cast.

It is a credit to Faith as an author that she can make me want to experience the heat of New Orleans. That has never happened before.

To say I am looking forward to the next release is a gross understatement. Bring on the elves.

GO BEAST!

This is on my TBR pile, but I have not had the chance to read it yet. I really want to! *needs to hurry*

Welcome and congratulations on “Skinwalker”. I was so sorry to hear about Dinkums, losing a member of your family, no matter how small sucks. Maybe, later as the pain eases a bit, you can honor him with a place in one of your books, so that a little piece lives on.
I love the idea that so many exceptional paranormal writers are writing for the YA market. I had always felt this was an area that would help turn kids on to reading and not only benefit the writers now but also later as they make reading a part of their lifetime experience. Many authors have added a YA series to their writing, do you intend to do this and if so can you give us a brief look at what you are planning?
Hi All! Happy to be here!
HI Lisa,
Thanks for the kind words. Dinks was a sweetheart. I miss him.
I don't plan to write YA at this time. I have a few thoguths in that area for later, however.
