This is my 1st series that I started reading when I did read again. I started in 2008 on this and I hadn't read since I was in school. I hated reading when I was in school but now I love reading. I love this series and the tv show as well.

Thank you! Finally someone else that doesn't think the book was a waste. I loved seeing how Hunter and Sookie interacted and wonder if Ms. Harris will carry this relationship on. Also, Eric was so out of character it was intriguing! I loved to see him weak (not necessarily weak but you kknow what I mean) and so needy of Sookie. Not to mention Claude! This book has plenty of potential.

I will also step up and defend this book. Caution for those that have not read it, there may be spoilers ahead.
We get to spend time with Hunter in this book, and I know every body had to enjoy that part. Jason is finally maturing, yeah! And Claude, he has to be my favorite character out of this book. He moved in to protect Sookie, that is so out of Claude character, but so cute in this book. And we finally get to see Eric vulnerable and unsure of himself and dare I say it, a little afraid, EEK!
It may not have been the most exciting book in the series, but it was not a total waste. We have to remember in the last book Sookie was tortured within an inch of her life. Even with vampire blood she has a lot of healing to do. Making her run around and be funny just isn't realistic. Granted I know this is fiction, but Sookie isn't a superhero/shapeshifter or vampire. She is our little telepath that needed a book to recuperate and heal. For cryin out loud she didn't even get her groove back until the end of the book!

I do think that the latest book could have been better then what it was but I don't think it was complete trash. It had some perks, some ups and some downs, but I wouldn't toss it to the lions just yet. I think it may have been something to just hold us over for the big bang of the next books.

Someone else has had to read the lastest Sookie book!!! I need someone to share my pain with!! Put it this way, I am really thinking about finding out where Charlaine lives.....going to her house, shaking the s#it outta her, and asking her what the hell was she thinking when she wrote the latest book!!!

Ughhh, I am so darn aggravated. There was no plot, no "story". I just don't understand the meaning of the entire book. Some will say "maybe it's a filler book." Really!? Even fillers are better then this. The only time that it got a little exciting was in the last 20 pages!!! I would have rather waited another year to get a book that made sense, was fun to read, and answered some of the questions that are still floating out there about Sookie & Eric or whoever she picks. But sadly I didnt, I got what I got. And that's all I can say. Well okay, not really all I can say about it. But I will spare you, and get off my soapbox now.

Word of advice......WAIT TILL YOU CAN BORROW IT FROM THE LIBRARY OR WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT IN PAPERBACK! At least you will save yourself some money, and wont feel so bad at the end.

Well, I have MAYBE 3 or 4 chapters left. I am completely bummed!! :-( Something good, and exciting better happen real quick!!!! Because as of this moment....snnnnnooooozzzeee!! Ughh!!!

I bought the audio book the day it came out. I am enjoying it, but it sure seems like I am very far into the book and something is just starting to happen.
