Pale Demon was very satisfying. surprised nobody commented here about it yet. Several things caught me by surprise but after they settled in my head a bit, I was fine with them. Makes me wonder where KH is going in the series. Not sure which was my fav spot. Trent showing up for the first time, Rachel fighting getting down & 'nasty', Rachel fighting down in the eatery, or 'falling' for Trent at the end? (tried not to spoil anything, but hopefully others understand my meanings) 

Oh, and I heard one of the audiobooks for the first time. Very strong P.I. vibe. I never read her books that way. Might be tempted to listen to the others. btw Typing Monkey, Gavin read book.

Oh yeah--the audio quality was great--each book is broken own into two sections. I did the "first month/book for 7 bucks" thing and then bought one book a month with my credits, and hen they had a sale on credits I stocked up by buying as many as I could for the maximum discount. The last books are currently 2 credits.

OMG ("Oh.. my... god... Becky...")

Marguerite Gavin's voice is highly addictive. After you get through the first book you will be an instant fan. She nails every character--especially Ivy. She reads Rachel as a frumpy, frustrated, and highly inpatient Aries (which I think is absolutely spot-on) and Ivy as a languid Scorpio (which is as delicious as it implies). I did have a hard time with Kisten until (well...until "Where's my lucky stick?"--after that I really liked him)

Then some idiot had the great idea to replace Marguerite with some woman who had OBVIOUSLY not pre-read the book, much less the series. She was a true professional but she had no idea who the characters were or how they interacted. It was truly horrid. I was so outraged that I vowed never to buy another book by Kim. (Um... yeah, that lasted all of a week).

The woman that reads them "Marguerite Gavin", is pretty great. There was one book that had a different woman doing it. It completely threw me off. It was just terrible.

lol did you download them from audible? and how's the quality? I have thought about going back and getting them on audio just to listen to them.

I joined audible just so I could get all of Kim's books on my iPod and listen to them at work. So now I am completely hooked. I am on book 7. I did complain to her hubby about her crappy website--hmm.... didn't make any friends there. :-p

It's a good thing he hasn't seen any of my book's websites (oopsie!)

Finally on the last book. White Witch Black Curse was probably the best one so far. The last one was like a existential inderlander soap opera.
