Welcome, I'm Kayla Weeks!

Hello! I'm Kayla Weeks. I am currently an unpublished author but I am working on changing that. I've been writing stories and reading since I learned to read and write. It tends to annoy my friends when I totally pass them up for a good book or a new idea. I write strictly about abnormal characters. I'm used to abnormal people in my life and I incorporate that into my writing. My characters are either on the run from something big, bad and furry to being committed in Insane asylums, trapped in creeptastic mansions, or their own minds...
I have one story that I am trying to get published. Innocence is about Vampires, vampire hunters, psychics, and some creepy humans. It revolves around Lucy Graham. She is a foster child with a dead mother and a incarcerated father. She is prone to seizures which are caused by very violent premonitions. And because of this, she is neglected or beaten. Her last chance is with an old friend of her mother's. Little does she know that by moving into this tiny town In North Carolina, that danger, twisted love and her destiny awaits.
I've worked on Innocence for a year and nine months. After several drafts, rewriting(I'm picky), throwing paper balls, filling up three notebooks; I am confident that I am finally happy with the ending results.
