I love reading. I love Vampires, Shapechangers, Wizards, and any flavor of paranormal being. Sci-fi and horror are staples in my library and most of my books have a wicked twist. I hope all the mom's out there had a great day! It was my first Mother's Day without my mom so it was a bit tough. Also tough because we drove from Indy to NC. 15 hours plus. In a car. Bad juju. The moon was awesome last night though. Huge, yellow and just above the horizon. It was amazing. Perfect moon for Vamps and Weres.

After 7 long years with COPD my Mom finally gave up the fight. She has been fighting and in such pain for so long that seeing her suffer these past few weeks has been a struggle. I've seen people die and i've seen people fight dying but this has been a singular experience. Words can't describe how hard it's been to watch her go through this. Even when it's expected you don't always feel prepared for the feelings that wash over you as you see someone you love stop breathing and lose the fight. To…

Today class we are going to talk about real life zombies. I am a walking, talking zombie. Time taking care of my mom and spending time being strong for other folks is keeping me a zombie.
