Hi, hope the wedding went well.
Paloma sounds interesting. I also like the science fiction genre so recommendations are always good. If you like futuristic mysteries/thrillers, I can recommend JD Robb. They can be dark and gritty, but they're good.
I like that idea, vampires in WWII. I'll have to look into Blood Good. Thanks
I just finished reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman. It's book 1 in a series about 2 brothers. One if half monster (Cal) and the other is human (Niko). They are on the run from Cal's monster family who wants him for reasons unknown. While laying low, they interact with other interesting characters like a vampire and a boggle, not to mention Puck. Yes that Puck. And then the family arrives. It can be gorey but the relationship between the brothers is really good. I'm looking into more in the series.
I think I"m going to start another Laura Anne Gilman for my next book. Not sure yet. Of course I may just spend the time writing the sequel to my own book, if I can actually focus on writing. Silly me

I'm looking into Moonshine, the 2nd in the Rob Thurman series myself. If you like Nightlife, let me know.
