Twitter

It's happened again. Someone is always wanting me to join some new online site. This how I have ended up being on Myspace, Facebook, Livejournal, and now Twitter. I'm not even sure why Twitter exists, can't I send people messages with any instant messaging program? Even Myspace has it's own status and mood bar now which is basically the same thing as Twitter. Xanga also has its own variation, the "pulse". I have no idea what's so special about Twitter, but you can find me… Continue

Manga and Other Japanese Imports

I love the idea of manga, the covers are so pretty, but I try to stay away from them unless I know my library system has them. If there's a movie, live-action drama, or anime series based on the manga I'll skip reading them altogether since the shows usually stick pretty close to the storylines in the manga. They are just too costly to keep up with when you can read one in an hour or two and most of them cost between $8 - $10. When they finally get translated into english they usually come out… Continue

Books Read in 2008

* Updated 12/25/08*

I took the 50 Book Challenge this year, except I upped mine to 100 because 50 is just a little too easy. Anyway, these are the 99 books I've read as of 12/22/08. I think I can get the last one read before the year's up and I'll update the list then.

1 Captain's Fury (4th Codex Alera book) - Jim Butcher

2 Betrayed (2nd House of Night book) - P.C. & Kristin Cast

3 Wyvernhail - Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

4 Dancing With Werewolves - Carole Nelson… Continue

Introductions

I just joined sooo... Hello people!

I live in Ohio, it might as well be the middle of nowhere, which is why the internet is a really big help to me. Through Amazon and book blogs I can find books I've never heard of. Urban fantasy is my favorite book genre and the fae are my favorite supernatural race to read about, although I read more than my fair share of vampire books too.

I also have a huge appreciation for music. I like some of almost every genre and I'm always trying to… Continue
